In the fall of 2016, I was diagnosed with stage IV cancer which had advanced to the point where it is incurable. My oncologist estimates I can survive a year or two with treatment. I underwent surgery shortly after the diagnosis and have been on chemotherapy ever since.
In spite of my illness, these past months have been some of the happiest of my life. That’s mostly thanks to the cosplayers whom I’ve met at the con’s (It’s been an honor and a privilege to work with each and every one of you!). I am also very thankful to those of you who view my work on DeviantArt and honor me by faving and sharing it with others.
Since I won’t be around for too much longer, I guess this makes my work collector’s items. I have designated in my will that my family will maintain my Deviant Art site after I am gone, posting whatever art remains and allowing others to share my work.
I will fight as hard as I can and as long as I can to stay alive, but I am at peace with my fate. In the meantime, I’ll be going to a lot of cons and posting as much as I can.
